Louis XIII also known as Louis “The Just” reigned over the kingdom of France from 1610 to 1643.
Heavily influenced by Italian, Flemish and Arab aesthetics, Louis XIII style is geometric, clean and utilitarian. Cabinets and sideboards are adorned with arabesques whereas turnery makes it appearance on chairs.
Dark woods such as ebony and walnut are in the spotlight.
