A cosy corner by the fireplace with a stunning Louis XV bergère, a tea table and a gorgeous carpet in front of the fireplace, what could be better for a relaxing evening? This elegant bergère has been reupholstered in celadon blue silk and I have matched it with a mohair velvet by Lelièvre. Those sophisticated fabrics enhance the beauty of this late 19th century antiques armchair.

Style: Louis XV
Louis XV, known as the "Beloved" reigned over the kingdom of France from 1715 to 1774, he was the only king of France to be born and die at the Palace of Versailles.
The Louis XV style is characterized by its elegance and lightness. It is recognizable by the grace of the curved legs of the furniture with "pied de biche"(deer foot).
The wood is natural, gilded or painted. The "rococo" style ornamentation is inspired by nature and exoticism.
