Let me introduce you to another strange term in the French furniture vocabulary. The "table bouillotte" is a light, easy-to-move table with a small round top resting on a circular edge and four straight legs.
The name comes from the game known as "bouillotte", a type of poker that was very fashionable at the end of the 18th century. It was originally played on this round table.
Its four legs are tapered and fluted. The edge contains one or two drawers and sometimes sliding shelves.
The top is covered in marble or marquetry and surrounded by a copper border. A felt mat could be added to the table to play cards.
The table I'm proposing has all the usual characteristics of this type of furniture, but has the advantage of being low, which is more suited to our contemporary living rooms. It is decorated with a beautiful white marble.

More Information
Style: Louis XVI
Louis XVI, who reigned from 1774 to 1789, is remembered as the last absolute monarch. The French Revolution of 1789 overthrew the monarchy by divine right and Louis XVI was guillotined on January 21st 1793.
The Louis XVI style is classical, inspired by Antiquity, the shapes are geometric, the legs of the furniture are straight and light, often fluted. However, under the influence of Marie-Antoinette, the ornaments are enriched with musical and rural attributes, ribbon bows giving a delicate touch to the furniture.
