A "pantalonniere" as its name suggests in French is a chest of drawers with large drawers, larger than average, allowing to store pants or other large clothes without the need to fold them. This furniture was first invented at the end of the 18th century. Some "pantalonniere dressers" open to reveal large sliding boxes like the one I propose which dates from the 1900s. This piece of furniture in Louis the XVI style is very elegant, with two exterior drawers, a shelf and two interior red lacquered sliding boxes. Its marble, caning and sculptures are superb! I imagined making it a bar for photos but you can figure out many other uses!

Louis XVI, who reigned from 1774 to 1789, is remembered as the last absolute monarch. The French Revolution of 1789 overthrew the monarchy by divine right and Louis XVI was guillotined on January 21st 1793.
The Louis XVI style is classical, inspired by Antiquity, the shapes are geometric, the legs of the furniture are straight and light, often fluted. However, under the influence of Marie-Antoinette, the ornaments are enriched with musical and rural attributes, ribbon bows giving a delicate touch to the furniture.
